CAMPAIGN AGAINST KEVIN RUDD'S ETS

IT IS TIME TO ACT COLLECTIVELY TO SAVE AUSTRALIA

If Kevin Rudd and the labor party in Australia's federal government go ahead with their planned carbon reduction scheme scheduled for 2010 they will wreck Australia's economy and leave a mark more indelible than the recession Australia had to have under Paul Keating.

Brendan Nelson, is essentially right in trying to preach caution and block labor's moves. This is not about politics and simple resistance or activism. This is about survival economically and socially, defying the efforts, and actions, of people who colllectively have never created anything. They are theorists and academics. politicians of zeal and ideology whose beliefs, and passions, are extremely dangerous. Want to know more about climate change and the emission trading scheme? Click here. We must draw on our own experiences and resources to resist, block and if necessary destroy their resolve and strategies. If the Rudd labor government spends a million, or more, of public funds on advertising their view points and plans about the ETS (emissions trading scheme) then they should also fund counter opinions in the interest of the nation. (note the above is the opinion of Kevin R Beck, who owns this web site, and not necessarily the opinion of Tom Lefkovic)

disappointing and successful, over the years, reported in Australian media archives, in Australian parliamentary reports and other publications, in the University of Melbourne Library and the State Library of Victoria and other repositories and on the web.

To actually determine the extent of skill, and suitability, for your assignment you may wish to examine the Mosaic Portal web network designed by Kevin. Within its parametrs you will find among other things a prescient ability to predict events, outcomes and anticipate. This is not futurology, or palm readings and crystal ball gazing, but a highly developed set of cognitive and analytical abilities. There are a number of highly paid executive and advisers within large enterprises, and Ministers, political advisers and senior public servants governments, here in Australia and internationally, that under estimated the tactical capabilities of PMA. The cost of their inability to assess the situation, tactics and strategies, exceeds $A2,000,000,000. On the other hand there are a blancing group of satisfied clients and employers.

Kevin Beck develops complex multifaceted external competitive strategies as well as internal change, repositioning and performance improvment plans for clients. Kevin Beck then implements them from within the client organisations.

Elements of strategy, and planning, may be traditional in nature, such as marketing, communication and business development though they may not be the primary deliverable. The primary deliverable may be the neutralisation of competition or the marginalising of competitors and opposing interests using lateral, complex and detailed exercises. The client decides. There are also business development and change management examples within the Beck portfolio of experience.

In addition Kevin Beck implements campiagns and strategies beyond the client base into a number of public interest arenas interacting regularly with parliaments and public service enterprise across Australia. He is building a human network linked to a technological foundation which can be used as part of an overall strategy.

How we do it

  • Get approval for plans and implement, communicate processes and progress to client

  • Different methodologies: may include leveraging and developing networks, arranging access

  • May include Competitive marketing and positioning as well as project and change management.

  • May include alliances and joint venture developments, new business opportunities
  • May include counter strategies and counter attacks

  • Among the methodologies we will use media, business and government processes, we will use networks, commercial and creative arguments and presentations, along with a complex mix of approaches.

In counter assignments, as a part of the approved implementation we may seek to create hurdles, and barriers, against opposing vested interests slwoing them or causing them to expend resources and time, diverting their attention and effort. We may seek to attach their interest to that of our client. This implementation programme can involve presenting scenarios to the enterprises that fund opposing interests' activities, either from within Australia or internationally. For example we may communicate with parliaments, bureaucracies, politicians, corporate interests, social and community interest groups, financiers, other interests, investors, potential investors, shareholders, regulatory authorities, international governments and other vested interests. We will usually seek the development of harmonious relationships, alliances and/or coexistence where we can rather than move to head on confrontation which is the last resort.

    11. Levelling the playing field:

What do you do when big business dminates your parch and you are pushed into the background?

Example: On behalf o aclient dwarfed by competing interests, PMA undertook a deep research programme and offered a compromise to the major competitor, to the key players (CSIRO and governments) but was rejected. Kevin Beck then devised, and implemented, national and international competition, and positioning strategy, including global representations in the UK, Switzerland, Germany, Canada and the United States, on behalf of our client. Meetings with corporations, magnesium interests, financiers and governmet agencies. Global distribution of multiplepapers on competing technologies. Economic analysis, critiques and assessments of the risks, and merits, of the Australian government metals and magnesium strategy. Beck wrote to state, and federal governments and the media highlighting the inherent risks in governments
      "picking winners."

Assessing who are the competitors, in any industry segment, including hidden ones, and what are their likely capabilities and abilities to impact?

Beck then undertook an assessment of the future of magnesium in Australia and globally as a business venture on behalf of the client. This assessment lead to a conclusion at odds with the experts, and with government agencies. PMA's client withdrew from magnesium, and light metals, investment in Australia and internationally, well before before the collapse of the Australian government strategy underpinned by CSIRO and the advice and assurances of large business interests. Most notably the support for the high profile major project in Queensland championed by the government - Australian Magnesium. The LMAA as it ws known was quietly passed to CSIRO, lodged within their flagship programme.
